Donate

One of our Canadian volunteers, Allan, has set up a bank account in Canada. It makes it very easy for anyone to donate. You can basically just transfer money to this bank account using on-line banking. An e-mail transfer can be made by sending the e-mail to yaucnepal@hotmail.com.

For people without internet banking, a cheque can be sent to

In this moment in history many of you are looking to offer assistance to those less fortunate than yourself in the form of monetary donations, but feel discouraged by the large scale and unaccountability of large, international organizations.  When you donate, you want to know you are making as great a difference as you can with that sum of funds.  Large organizations like CARE, the Red Cross, and others are remarkable in their ability to invest unimaginable sums of money to large populations of the needy.  However, sometimes you feel as though your donation can get swallowed up in the vast reserves they already have.

We are a small organization.  All of us volunteer most of our time for this cause, and our director is a certified Nepali social worker with years of experience behind him.  The children we work with live in our home which is rented in the Chabahil district of Kathmandu, Nepal.  Our children are aged between 3 and 14.  Most of their food needs are taken care of by generous grocers and shop owners in the Chabahil district, but there are still plenty of expenses we count on donations to pay for such as school fees (standard in Nepal), school uniforms (required), surgery, and occasional toys, books , and stationeries.  On such a small scale you can count on your donation making a serious difference in these young lives, and since we have no overhead or salaries to pay, you can also count on every cent you donate being spent on the children.  Furthermore, we welcome donations for specific purposes, and we will respect any request that their donation be solely spent for that purpose.  We have limited donors, so you can count on receiving individual attention and follow up when you make a donation.  We will be happy to take before and after pictures of the effect your donation has had on their lives.

And remember, though any sized donation is appreciated, the price of most goods here in Nepal is about 1/10th of what it would be in America or Europe, so even very small donations can outfit a child, or send them to school for a year.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration,
Tej Prasad Timsina - President
