An Officially Unofficial Experiment In Living

How official is it?  Completely UN-official.  First off, let me say, I have no idea what I'm doing - but, in my defense, I don't want to.  I have resolved to let fate take me where it will.  I'll call it an experiment in living for now.  It's sort of an experiment or a game, but it keeps me from knowing anything, which is what makes it exciting!  It's the result of a conglomerate of events, realizations, and mistakes, but if there's one thing I'll admit to, it is that despite putting loads of thought into it, I still haven't a clue as to what "it" is.  Here's what I do know:
 


                

      

September 22 - October 31, 2003

I am about to start an introspective journey.
Here's what I know:

Rule 1 - I must sell everything I own by November 1, 2003
Rule 2 - I must leave my job and apartment by November 1, 2003
Rule 3 - I may not make any further plans until November 1, 2003

January 18, 2004 - February 28, 2005
"It's not the destination, but the journey that counts"

I am about to start a physical journey.
Here's what I know this time:

Rule 1 - I can only bring what I can fit in a small book bag 
Rule 2 - Once I leave North America, I can't return for 12 months
Rule 3 - I must maintain this website throughout my travels

I am about to start a voyage of discovery.

Rule 1 - I must move to a foreign country
Rule 2 - I must become conversational in the local language
Rule 3 - No ladder jobs that might end me up back at Phase 1
