Oh man! I left my heart in San Francisco all right! I had been here several times before, but never really saw the real Frisco. With my friend Sierra's help, I saw it this time, and I can say without a doubt that if I were to move back to the States, it would be to SF! I had a great time while she showed me around for a week or so. She was the best host I've ever stayed with! And you can quote me on that. There's no way anyone else could have shown me such a good time. THANK YOU SIERRA!!!!! |
Take a look at the pictures and then read the San Francisco Journal entry.
Alcatraz - The Rock!
Fisherman's Wharf
I never realized the famous trolleys in SF were other cities' trolley from throughout the ages!
"Boston Elevated Railway" - probably an old Green or Orange line
car.
Ah, the coolest party I've been to in since my raver days!
In support for a New York artist who got injured making his art,
artist communities around the country threw fund-raising parties.
This was the SF party.
Sierra (right) and her friend in front of an artists trailer
The party was in a warehouse, but the less serious performances were outside
the warehouse
One room was just for displaying art... and dancing. There was a DJ.
God I love San Franciscans!
The bar was hysterical. Not sure they were making as much money as they
could between the booze
they gave away and the booze they drank, but the were having a blast, and
so was everyone in "line"
Yeah, yeah, some of the performers were real weirdoes, but fun to look at!
But it was all the guests that were the real eye candy!
This was Sierra's friend on stage. I missed most of their show, but
what I heard was funky, and very original... like all the acts.
(interactive exploding art)
(the "break something with something" area)
This was the best beat-boxers I've ever seen!
You can only begin to even imagine! One guy was probably 65!!

Life on Petrero Hill - Farleys characters
(I actually met a woman in Florence who lived here, and knew of this famous cappuccino-drinking parrot!)
Sierra's VT car in front of her house
The now-famous City Hall where they started issuing marriage license's to gay couples
- yeah!
Over by Golden Gate Park
Coast line and beach
The BART - San Francisco's bankrupt subway system
The brand-new USA Hostel in SF is one of the nicest I've stayed in!
Ha ha! This place was actually French Cuisine (and they could spell "cusiners")
OMG! These guys were the best! They are a famous pop group from Korea who were on their world tour.
I played my Uke for them, which brought much laughter. Check out their
site here.
