San Diego, California
March 14, 2004 - March 23, 2004

San Diego came as quite a surprise. First, is was cold! I thought SD was 80 degrees everyday or something. But second, despite having heard of it as a paradise for so long, it seemed as though people were just discovering it. Lots of building, and only a small area that had recently been gentrified (the Gas Lamp). This town will surely become one of the fastest growing cities in America once people start getting a clue. Definitely worth giving a look if you're a college-aged partier, too.

I spent a week and a half here exploring, and figuring out where to go next, and how to get there.  It's a major party town, so when St Particks day came around it was a great excuse to throw a huge block party... despite having no Irish heritage there...

Old Town - San Diego's first center

Outside of Old Town are some nice residential areas

These buildings were moved here from another area of town and placed under historic protection

Gas Lamp district
A very cool district that until recently was a run-down ghetto.  Now it defines Sand Diego's center.
