Shigatse, Tibet
October 1, 2004 - October 2, 2004

Shigatse was supposed to be a very Tibetan town, but when we pulled in, it looked like a huge Chinese city at least as big as Lhasa.  I had had it with China, and was upset that there didn't seem to be anything Tibetan about this city, so I stayed in and took a shower.  As it turns out, Andries and Eran found a section of town that was very Tibetan after all.  I missed it, but in the long run, that one difference wouldn't have made up for the overall disappointment I found Tibet to be.

This was our hotel room, and Josephine working on her website.
