Luzern, Switzerland
May 11, 2004

Your visit to Luzern starts by crossing either of the 13th century covered bridges. On the other side of the swan-filled river is the hillside town that everyone pictures as "typical Switzerland." Filled with little streets and corner cafes, the town is a great stop along the Golden Pass route from Zurich. It was my lunch town, and I can't recommend it enough for a long picnic!
