Toledo, Espana
April 7, 2004

The first thing you'll learn about Toledo is that all the swords in Lord of the Rings were made here. That's kind of sad, because the city had a longer history than that, but I guess that's what the paying tourists go for. The next thing you'll learn is that this has got to be the biggest tourist destination near Madrid! That's also too bad, because the town looks like it could be charming, but it's hard to see past the mobs of pasty people. I did my best to keep them out of my pictures.

These were the shackles the Moorish used on the Christians.
When they were freed and established they hung the shackles on their church as a reminder.

Chicken feet! On the street!
