Cuenca, Espana
April 3, 2004

Cuenca is a very small town perched atop a cliff. The selling point is that the buildings literally hang off the edge of the cliff. I is impressive indeed, but I think the selling point should be its total absence of tourists! It was a trek - 3 hour train ride east of Madrid - so maybe that had to do with it. Aside from a few university students, it was actually quite void of any people at all in fact.
