Sarangkot, Nepal
November 2, 2004 - November 3, 2004

Ian, Danielle, Alex, Julie and I hiked up to the highest hill in Pokhara for a view of the Annapurna mountains.
We got to the top just in time for the sunset and spent the night so we could see the sunrise as well.  This view is
one of the highlights of Pokhara, and the hike was a nice break from the tourist city.

Our guesthouse.
The rats in the tin roof were up all night, and the spider in the toilet
was huge, but it only cost 25 cents each, so what can I complain about?

After ascending 700 meters to the top of Sarangkot, we were rewarded with our first clear views of the
Annapurnas.  Unfortunately it was a limited view, as the clouds blocked most of the 7000 and 8000 meter peaks.

The next morning we all got up at dawn to see the sunrise, hoping for no clouds this time.  We got our wish.
