Wien, Austria
May 6, 2004 - May 8, 2004

Wien is a hip town. Lots of shopping to be done after all the sight-seeing. This is Austria's biggest city, and
they're proud of it. I spent 3 days here, and enjoyed every second - even the freezing rain! I didn't get a chance to,
but some of the best chamber, and orchestra shows can be seen here. Next time.

If you go, the most impressive tourist site I can recommend is Schloss Schonbrunn.  It's a beautiful castle
with one of the nicest gardens I've ever seen!  Other than that, Dr. Freud's home and practice is pretty cool,
and just wandering around town is just as rewarding.

This was funny. It was raining and cold, and I came across this rehearsal for a concert. Most of the performers where
Europeans you wouldn't have heard of, but the last one sang a song I definitely have heard on the radio a bit in the
States. As you can see, this kind of music isn't so popular that crowds showed up for the rehearsal. If it were an
orchestra, the rehearsal would have been packed!  I skipped the actual concert - hope there was a better turn out.

...and the concert was in front of City Hall

How could a good psychologist, such as myself, skip the Freud Museum. It's in his house, and practice. Very exciting!

Waiting room

I've always thought it was funny he lectured (in German!) at Clark University, in Worchester. Why Clark?

Freud chillin' at Clark

His actual therapists room has been moved to his home in London, but this is a picture of "the couch"

Yet another town with a free bike rental system. Great!
These look like they're in better shape than in Copenhagen, though.

Kunst was sort of like Gaudi

Schloss Schonbrunn was AMAZING!
The gardens were sprawling. My favorite part was the mini castle at the top of the huge hill in the gardens. I think it's where they took tea.

??????????????????????????????????

It's actually quite a hike to get up there...

Hey little guy!
