Salzburg, Austria
May 5, 2004 - May 6, 2004

I spent a night and 2 days in Salzburg - the Sound of Music town. It's also the town Mozart is from, and an important
historical town for all the empires who ruled this part of Europe, but The Sound of Music and the Von Trapp family story
seem to get all the attention. A very cute town!

The very first thing I did was climb the cliff in town to find a hostel at it's top.  The hostel was there but wasn't
opening until the next day, so all I got was a view... which was very nice, and totally worth the climb anyway.

Check out the clothes. This is what they still wear!

Mozart's birthplace.

You can't really see it, but everyone at these market stalls are eating white sausage
- because it's finally 11AM - the proper time to have your white sausage and beer!

Remember the gardens Maria danced around in with the children while singing "Doe, a Dear?"
